Jack Doherty, a 22-year-old YouTuber known for provocative prank videos and harassing strangers before retreating behind his bodyguard, was arrested in Miami Beach early Saturday morning on multiple charges, including drug possession and obstructing traffic.
According to Miami Beach Police, around 3:12 a.m., Doherty entered the roadway on the 700 block of Washington Avenue to film content, blocking traffic and creating a safety hazard. Despite multiple orders from officers to leave the road, he refused, stating, "Once I'm done with this bet!" He was subsequently taken into custody.
A search revealed "half of an orange oval-shaped pill with 3 imprinted on it, consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine," and three suspected cannabis cigarettes. Doherty was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence.
He was released Saturday night after posting a $35,000 bond.
Doherty has over 15 million YouTube subscribers and is known for videos where he provokes strangers before retreating behind his bodyguard, a controversial content style that has drawn criticism for harassment tactics.
The Miami Beach Police Department emphasized their commitment to public safety, stating they will "continue to take proactive enforcement action against behavior that endangers motorists, residents, or visitors—and will hold all individuals accountable under the law, regardless of their celebrity status."
