Pauline Collins, the esteemed British actress renowned for her roles in "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "Shirley Valentine," passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 85. She died in London due to complications from Parkinson's disease.

Collins's illustrious career spanned several decades, earning her numerous accolades, including a Tony Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Shirley Valentine." She was also appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2001 for her contributions to drama.

She is survived by her husband, actor John Alderton, and their three children. Collins also had an older daughter, Louise, whom she reunited with after giving her up for adoption in 1964.

A funeral service is scheduled for November 27, 2025, at St. Andrew's Church in London. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Parkinson's UK in her memory.
