Chariho Career and Technical Center's Electrical Technology class visited ProSystems Integration, an automation company in Westerly, to give students a look at career opportunities in the industrial side of the field. The students toured the production floor and learned about the various systems designed for different applications, from medical tubing equipment to automated systems for companies like Hershey Chocolate and Krispy Kreme.

Level Automation, a company specializing in the production and construction of electrical and automation cabinets, has migrated from the Simatic S7-1200 to the new generation control system, the Simatic S7-1200 G2. The company's owner, Martin Ozols, says the migration was "almost ridiculously easy" and took only two minutes.
